My name is Daniela Toledo. I’m an industrial designer based between Santiago and Shenzhen, working across the fields of textiles, products, and communication design. I specialized in future materials at the MA Textile Futures. I’m passionate about colour, materials, and creating avant-garde aesthetics to produce beautiful projects that dwell mostly in between the fields of apparel, fashion, and surface design.

I became obsessed with textiles at an early age, thanks to my grandmother, who used to work as a tailor. A restless conceptual approach guides my practice, and I have been able to showcase my work individually and as a part of the collective All Things in Between. I also worked as a visual merchandiser for more than five years and thus have extensive experience with brands and a deep love for store window and props design.

I enjoy traveling, learning about new materials and techniques, and collaborating with other designers, as well as writing and watching science fiction films. I’m always happy to work in any project involving (but not restricted to) apparel, textiles, materials, brand identity, and communication design.

I like this interview the Chilean web series Manufactura made in 2017 about my work (thank you).
